BTCCSquare news:

Cybersecurity firm CTM360 has uncovered a widespread crypto scam operation involving over 15,000 fake TikTok clone websites. Dubbed 'FraudonTok,' the campaign uses sophisticated SparkKitty malware to steal wallet information through deceptive apps that mimic TikTok's interface.

The scammers employ sponsored ads on legitimate platforms to lure victims, complete with AI-generated deepfakes and fake profiles to maintain credibility. This represents an escalation from previous social media crypto scams that relied on impersonation videos and meme coin schemes.

Security analysts note the operation's technical sophistication, particularly the use of SparkKitty malware which demonstrates advanced capabilities. The campaign's full reach remains unknown, but its scale suggests significant risk to unsuspecting crypto users across platforms.
